Licence agreement
Last updated 17 September 2026
This is the agreement covering your copy of the Opac X panel. It sits alongside the Terms of Service, which covers the purchase itself.
What the licence grants
A personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Opac X on one machine at a time, for as long as you like, for personal or commercial work. Every feature is included — there is no higher tier.
The one-machine rule, and how to move
Your key activates one machine. That is not meant to trap you on the computer you first installed it on. To move to another machine, open Settings › License and press Remove. That deletes the key locally and releases the seat, so the same key activates somewhere else.
Do this before you wipe, sell or retire a machine.
Updates
Updates are free for life. Every future version is included and you never pay a second time. Updates are downloaded from your original order page; your key stays the same.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense or publish your licence key.
- Run one key on more machines than it is licensed for, by any means.
- Work around, disable or tamper with the licence check.
- Redistribute the panel, in whole or in part, as your own product.
- Decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the panel, or attempt to derive its source code.
Where the law that applies to you grants you a right this agreement cannot take away, that right stands. Nothing here is meant to override it.
What the panel sends
Opac X is a panel, not a service. There is no account to create with us.
- Licence checks send your key and a one-way hash of a machine identifier. That is the only thing the panel ever sends us.
- Your prompts and projects go from your machine to your AI provider directly, under your own account. They do not pass through us and we never see them.
- No analytics, no telemetry. The panel does not otherwise phone home.
Your work is yours
Everything Opac X produces in your project belongs to you, with no restriction on commercial use. Assets pulled from third-party libraries keep their own licences, and any attribution those require stays your responsibility.
If the licence ends
A licence may be ended if it is shared beyond its permitted machine or used to attack the licensing system. Compositions already in your projects are ordinary After Effects files and remain yours and fully editable without the panel.
